Waarom UV spot?<\/h2>\n

UV-Spot is een veel gekozen afwerkoptie voor de omslag van een boek. Het is een transparante en opdikkende laag die bovenop de laminaat laag van de omslag wordt aangebracht. Door het aanbrengen van UV-Spot kan je bepaalde elementen van de omslag accentueren, zodat ze er optisch uitspringen ten opzichte van de rest van de cover. Je kunt bijvoorbeeld de titel van het boek met UV-Spot laten bewerken, of een afbeelding die op de omslag staat. Hierdoor valt je boek extra op en kan deze een luxere uitstraling krijgen. Soorten UV-Spot<\/h2>\n

UV-Spot is beschikbaar in verschillende soorten. De meest gebruikte soort is glanzend, maar ook mat is mogelijk. Op een cover met mat laminaat kan glanzende UV-Spot gebruikt te worden. Bij een cover met glans laminaat is dat net andersom. Daarnaast zijn er nog enkele speciale soorten beschikbaar die de omslag van je boek een hele bijzondere uitstraling kunnen geven. Combineren met andere afwerkingsvormen<\/h2>\n

Naast het aanbrengen van UV-Spot op je omslag kun je in combinatie daarmee ook andere afwerkingsvormen gebruiken. Het is bijvoorbeeld mogelijk om UV-Spot aan te brengen binnen een negatieve preeg<\/a>, waardoor de UV-Spot laag dieper in de omslag komt te liggen. Een andere mogelijkheid is UV-Spot combineren met een foliedruk<\/a>, die elders op de omslag wordt gebruikt. Het is verstandig om dit goed op elkaar af te stemmen. Een ondoordachte combinatie kan er al gauw toe leiden dat je omslag een rommelige uitstraling krijgt en dat willen we natuurlijk voorkomen.<\/p>\n

Aanleveren UV-spot bestand<\/h2>\n

Als je UV-Spot op de omslag wilt laten aanbrengen dan is het belangrijk dat je het bestand op de juiste wijze aanlevert. Een UV-Spot bedrukking dient apart aangeleverd te worden in een PDF bestand en dient altijd te bestaan uit vector elementen zoals teksten of lijntekeningen. Er mogen geen afbeeldingen in pixels voorkomen in het bestand. Als je een UV-spot op de cover gebruikt heeft het bestand hetzelfde formaat als het bestand van de omslag zelf. En je geeft met 100% zwarte tekst of vectorobjecten de te drukken UV-spot onderdelen aan.<\/p>\n
